Qualifications

John Powers is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Cryptocurrency Tracing Certified Examiner (CTCE). He is the founder of Hudson Intelligence with a 25-year career in financial investigations and experience providing courtroom testimony dating to 2000.

Attorneys rely on his ability to clearly explain complex financial evidence. His work combines blockchain analysis with traditional investigative methods to develop clear, objective, fact-based opinions.

His expert analysis has been cited by federal courts in resolving complex cryptocurrency litigation.

Mr. Powers is retained by plaintiff and defense counsel, including Criminal Justice Act (CJA) appointments, in state and federal matters.

His work has involved matters before the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), U.S. Attorney's Offices, and state and foreign securities regulators.

He has also provided educational presentations to judges, attorneys, and law enforcement, including an invited presentation on cryptocurrency evidence at the annual conference of the Washington State Superior Court Judges Association.
